About this Speaker

Courtney has spent the last 17 years working at General Electric in their various business units. Her career started in February 2003 at the GE Transportation business unit in Erie, PA after graduating from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Courtney joined the Operations Management Leadership Program which was designed to provide supply chain fundamentals in manufacturing and engineering operations. Upon completion of the program Courtney worked for 3 years in Locomotive supply chain efficiencies, sourcing and customer fulfillment operations. In 2007, Courtney then joined a competitive and rigorous internal auditing program called Corporate Audit Staff. During the next three years Courtney led teams in audit & advisory across multiple global locations (South America, Europe, Ireland, United States) across GE businesses such as Power, Aviation, GE Treasury, NBC Universal, GE Security, GE Brazil Corporate Services, and GE Healthcare. The focused was on FASB and GAAP control-based audits including revenue recognition, inventory costing, AR/AP, long term service contract accounting, divesture carve out, corporate tax and compliance. In 2010, Courtney joined GE Power Services in Atlanta GA leading the Americas enterprise risk organization for gas turbine maintenance services. Her organization was responsible for executing and refining the operational and financial risk framework for GE’s aftermarket long term maintenance $20 Billion portfolio (300+) for gas turbine customers. In 2014 GE issued a bid to purchase Alstom Gas Turbine business and Courtney was recruited by CEO and C-Suite staff to lead & program manage the due diligence aspects & integration of the GE Power & Alstom acquisition for the Long-Term Service Agreement financial portfolio, approximately $10 Billion in revenues which was one of the largest acquisitions for any US industrial companies. In 2017, following post acquisition stabilization efforts Courtney relocated to Zurich Switzerland to lead the Cost Out and Innovation organization where she provided business strategy, product management, and P&L management for a $46 Billion dollar portfolio and ~$400 Million of operating margin. Currently Courtney is transitioning back to the USA and living in Atlanta GA.
